Keyworth Baptist Church
Cut out the trivia of bunnies and eggs - Easter is about 'New Life for Old Life'. Those first followers of Jesus - his disciples - went through all the depths of grief and joy two thousand years ago. What happened? Take time to read the writers of the accounts - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They help us piece together the events as they happened before and after that particular Passover Feast. As you read you'll be confronted, as were those disciples, with the fact that Jesus was executed, was buried and then rose to new life. They were as amazed as we would be - as we still are - by these events.
Jenni Entrican became President of the Baptist Union of Great Britain in May 2015 at the Annual Assembly. She'll be speaking at our morning service on Sunday 13 March at 10.30am - do come and join us.
I am a Scot who has lived in England since 1988. Whilst loving Scotland, England has given me great opportunities! A former teacher, I was ordained in 2004 following theological study at Bristol Baptist College. Having been a minister-in-training at Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church, I was called to lead a church plant with the object of connecting with spiritual seekers who would be unlikely to engage with mainstream church. Jacob's Well is now a small group of Christians engaging with people through a community garden and community activities.
